SEPT 2026 · Issue No. 2Welcome to your quarterly newsletter!
In this edition, I am pleased to share several significant milestones that strengthen Access Support Services' position as a trusted local provider.
A major achievement this quarter has been our successful transition to a Company Ltd by Guarantee, alongside a comprehensive organisational rebrand. These milestones reflect who we are today and where we are heading as an organisation.
We have also enhanced our digital presence and communication capabilities through the launch of our new website, creating a more professional and accessible experience for participants, families, and other key stakeholders. Combined with the implementation of our new client management system, these initiatives have delivered improved efficiencies, compliance, reporting, and service delivery across the organisation.
At Access Support Services, we value our employees and our people remain at the heart of everything we do. Following an organisational restructure, key positions have now been successfully stabilised, and we have launched our very own Leadership Development Program to support the growth of our future leaders. We have also implemented an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support the health and wellbeing of our staff.
In sector news, the broader NDIS environment continues to face significant challenges. Industry data indicates that 56% of providers are operating at an average loss of more than $294,000 p.a., while 16% are considering exiting the NDIS entirely due to financial pressures and increasing operational risks.
Regulatory reforms also continue to evolve, with Plan Managers required to be fully separated from service delivery by October 2027. Mandatory registration requirements for Supported Independent Living (SIL) providers are also approaching critical deadlines.
Against this backdrop, Access Support Services remains strong and focused on building a sustainable organisation that will continue to support our community for many years to come. As we look towards the future, our priorities are to deliver high-quality services that create positive outcomes for the people we support.
Thank you to all of our participants, staff, stakeholders, and community partners for your ongoing commitment and support. We look forward to sharing further updates with you through this newsletter.
As always, thank you for being part of the Access family.
Warm wishes, Chris Kelly
